Our regular Saturday morning breakfast thing. We walk the beach 6 days a week and reward ourselves with breakfast at Nina's. We're always greeted warmly and treated like we're part of their family. Some of the guys have omlettes all the time, I bounce from their great corned beef hash with scrambled eggs to blueberry pancakes to benedicts. Always done well. Always a rewarding experience. That's why we've been treating ourselves to breakfast at Nina's for years. A small place with a big heart.

Great pancakes & bacon. Husband loved his omelette. They used fresh spinach and the eggs were light n fluffy. Good potatoes too. Laid back atmosphere. Homemade cooking.

The greatest place under 100 sq feet! OK, its about twice that size. Really about six tables inside and five outside, plus a six seat counter. At 9:30 am there was room, but remember plan to wait if lot is full! Its worth the wait. The special of day was corned beef benedict! Since I have egg issues, the verdict came from some else, but the dish was awesome. And I believe this because I got a side of corned beef hash. The corned beef hash was sandwich quality. The corned beef wasn't point meat, scrapes to add flavor. No, this was premo meat and good with plenty of grease. Hard to believe it was meat, taters and onion with the amount of flavor here. Come for the hash, and get a side of something else. what is something else? Biscuits and gravy with buttermilk biscuits! Well, they taste that way. They came with seasoned home fries, and yeah they were good. But they are a distant third behind corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy. Find it and you will find happiness. Great service, and definitely a local spot.

Lots of empty tables and couldn't get seated. Waited and waited. Did you forget about us. I'm a diabetic and need to eat quickly when I eat.

Nina's cafe was sold 3 years ago to Laura and Jason. I stopped in for breakfast after a long walk on the beach. I was hankering for a standard breakfast of pancakes and bacon. Inside is very small with a counter top over looking the cooking. Every seat was taken insde and lots of room outside. I chose outside by the road.. a bit noisy but there was not much traffic. I ordered blue pancakes and bacon. The very attentive waitress suggested one pancake as they were huge... Yes and delicious with fresh blueberries non of the canned sugary mush, presented on a pretty flowered plate. Very reasonably price. I will come again to try the emolettes. They looked good.

Went in with my boyfriend at 12:45 and was rudely greeted by a waitress who said the kitchen closes at 1:00 and refused to serve us. The hours posted outside and online both say they close at 2:00 which is typically plenty of time at every other restaurant. So I get it if you want to close early, but the attitude wasn't needed. Just a bummer cuz I was pretty excited to try, maybe if there is a next time..

I went in on a Monday morning and was greeted right away. It's a cute little place with fun pictures on the walls. The menu isn't anything crazy, omelets, pancakes, sandwiches. I ordered the Greek omelet with rye toast. The food came out quickly and tasted great. The rye toast though, that just made this place for me. It was thick bread so it was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I would love to know where they get their rye but I forgot to ask. I would go back to Nina's when in town.

I just wrote a review on Chills and I shouldn't have as they posted that they were open but we're actually closed so we chose Nina's as our second choice. I recommend a good breakfast reasonably priced with your best friend at your feet and welcomed. It was a simple fare and a casual place to go. If I lived here I would become a regular. Attentive and friendly staffers to make it even better.

This was my favorite breakfast while we were in St Pete beach for a week. The service was a bit slow (only one server) but the food quality and quantity were great. Very small place but too big for just one server even on slower days. The gravy was a bit thin but tasted great. My entire family loved their breakfast and we will definitely return our next trip to St. Pete Beach. D.

Excellent food! Perfect brunch spot ! Nice menu selection. Outdoor seating and great service.

I wasn't impressed by my trip to Nina's for breakfast with my parents. They were pretty happy with their food, and I did enjoy my omelette. The coffee was decent. I didn't like the hash browns (soggy) and the server forgot my toast. It was very busy and she kept apologizing for how long it was taking to help us then saying things like "but it's so worth it." She also forgot water when I asked for it, and when I drank some of my dad's it tasted fishy. Hope to return next time I'm in the area and have a better experience.

A tad hard to find - there's a sign listing what's in the strip mall out front that unfortunately doesn't include Nina's, and it seems like the Nina's sign has seen better days. Had a good time. Service was friendly. Liked that you can see them preparing your food - I'm always weary of a hidden kitchen. French toast: 5 stars - I didn't try it but my friend seemed blissful about it. Omelette: 4 stars. Good, not amazing. Home fries: 3 stars - nice crunch, kinda boring seasoning. But maybe that's intentional so you can salt to taste? Blueberry pancakes: 3 stars. Pretty wet on the bottom unfortunately. When I cook'em at home I like to give them a couple finishing flips to prevent that. Coffee: 3 stars. Just your standard coffee. Will likely be back to see about this french toast, and next time, mimosas.

I went back to Nina's on a Sunday and I doubt I'll be back. The service wasn't good at all and the waitress kept blaming it on logistics. Seriously? You seat me, ask what I'd like to drink and then take my order. What's so difficult about that? The wait for french toast and an omelette was about 45 minutes. Not ideal for breakfast. We had to ask twice for syrup, and then eventually got up and walked inside to ask again. I also had to ask twice for the bill. For the record, the french toast was amazing, but not worth the wait. The veggie omelette was a little blah and there is no way they used 3 eggs that they claimed. If you don't mind waiting half your morning away, the food is good. The service just didn't cut it for me.
(2)Cindy C.
Yelp did it again - this place was a great find. The homemade corned beef hash was delicious. The vibe was very low key and the service was good.
(4)Katherine F.
Nice little spot for breakfast. Everyone found something on the menu and food was good. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Place itself is quite small so I don't recommend this place for big groups.
(3)Dante V.
Perfect breakfast! By far better then any chain restaurant. Omelette was fantastic and french toast was great. Service was perfect. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
(5)Glenn M.
Home cooking with a beach atmosphere. Great breakfast with the best sausage, pancakes and the rye toast was the best I have ever had. Service was outstanding. Then the price was even better...will be back for sure.
(4)Kassidy L.
This place is amazing, I got the Breakfast Sandwich with bacon on a croissant, along with a fruit cup and it was absolutely delicious. The croissant was nice and fluffy and flakey, and the bacon was cooked to perfection! The fruit was very fresh and it was all my favorites- strawberries, kiwis, pineapple, mangos, and grapes. Also tried some of my mothers pancake and it was very very good. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. The wait staff was incredible and they make you feel right at home, great prices and great service! Gotta love it!!!!
(5)William B.
Great place to pop in for breakfast was welcomed as soon as we came in and service was top notch. Got the blueberry pancakes which were cooked to perfection and full of blueberries. Home fries and bacon rounded out the meal. Very friendly wait staff that did an excellent job. Highly recommend.
(5)Karen A.
I almost don't want to review this place and let the cat out of the bag, but they deserve their props. It's a small place and they have indoor and outdoor dining. The breakfast menu is small but mighty! They have the basics, along with some specialties, such as homemade corn beef hash and crab cakes Benedict. We just had all of that in this one meal and it was delicious! The coffee is strong and they have large mugs of it. But, will leave extra room for lots of cream when you ask if you're a light weight like me :) The best part is dining alfresco! Such a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely a great way to start your Sunday! Or any day! Side note: Tripps Diner in St. Pete used to be our breakfast place of choice until their service and quality took a serious decline. NINA'S is where it's at!!
(5)Wayne S.
This beachy greasy spoon slings up some pretty darn good breakfast. Dog friendly. Quaint and charming. Friendly service.
(3)Anežka F.
A great place for breakfast! It seems it is a family business, they are very nice. Possible to pay by card. When we arrived the place was packed, we had to wait for 5 minutes, not a big deal. The staff apologized for that. There were free tables outside but wanted to sit inside because it was windy. The menu is big enough (not too much). We had a blueberry pancake, bacon, scrambled eggs, veg. Egg benedict. Everything delicious. For both of us the check was $20. Nothing fancy, more a homy place and we felt comfortable there. I can definitely recommend it!
(5)Robert G.
Overworked staff? Or just over stressed, I don't know. They could use some hospitality, though. Not very nice. Good is alright, though
(3)Travel B.
This a very small strip mall corner breakfast/lunch restaurant that is closed Tuesdays and breakfast only on Sundays. open till 2 PM. I was there on Sunday when the service was slow and the food mediocre. While the prices are very reasonable the food is not exceptional and in fact somewhat disappointing. I'm not a foodie by any stretch (I had biscuits and gravy) but found what was ordered in the way of breakfast not on a par with any chain/franchise store. The corn beef hash was also lacking. Sorry Nina, wish I could do you a better review.
(3)Carol L.
We went based on yelp reviews and we were less than impressed. There was nothing special about our breakfast. Service was ok but again no different than any breakfast place.
(2)Ashley E.
Delicious little nook right on the water great for a local feeling kinda place! Menu is small but the food was good! Service was simple but friendly. We sat outside and we weren't forgotten about which I really liked... It's nice to just be with your own company sometimes and not the kitchen and staff but you do take that risk of being out of site out of mind when you don't sit indoors. We would def go back!
(4)Steve G.
Excellent food, service, and prices. Perfect spot for those of us that want breakfast around the time the morning people want lunch.
(5)Chloe M.
I've been here a few times and the food is consistently great. Nice local's spot small inside with outside seating. Staff was friendly. Highly recommended.
(4)Mari B.
A two star place. When we first arrived with two people they just sent us outside without telling us how long the wait would be. After asking again they said five minutes. It was more like thirty minutes. When we first arrived there were empty tables and seats at the bar but they wouldnt seat us or let us sit at the bar but when we asked again after waiting thirty minutes they said we could sit at the bar. Service was bad but not unfriendly. The banana pancakes were good but the eggs were undercooked and the potatoes were cold. It wasn't particularly clean either.
(2)Corey D.
Food was great but service was slow and not quite friendly. Was very HOT inside restaurant.
(3)Lydia Z.
I agree with other reviewers that while I don't want to let the cat out of the bag Ninas deserves the two thumbs up! If you are having a terrible morning, head in to have some of their life changing bacon. That's right, you read correctly, life changing bacon. Thick cut, delicious, crispy (or however you like your bacon) bacon! While I try to avoid eating the pancakes (because then I'll finish said pancakes) the chocolate pancakes are made with Godiva morsels of happiness. My 2 eggs over easy with rye toast are always the perfect blend of runny and toasty perfection. If you have any 4 legged babies at home, bring em! They have outside seating and you and your leashed fur baby can enjoy some breakfast. All in all, this is the best place on the beach for breakfast!
(5)Adrian H.
Excellent fast and friendly service. The crab cakes Benedict was very good as was the Greek omelette. The rye toast was especially good, some of the best we've ever had. We asked the waitress about it and she told us they have a bakery make it from scratch. It alone was worth the visit. If I were to come back, I would have the eggs benedict on the rye instead of the English muffin.
(5)Arthur S.
Came here for breakfast based on yelp reviews. Small breakfast place along the Gulf Blvd. would be real easy to drive right by it. That is the ONLY drawback. The staff is very friendly, makes you feel right at home. I ordered banana pancakes, home fries and scrapple(I asked what this is and I was given a great response-"It's like spam on crack"). The pancakes were huge, and had the great taste of banana inside. The home fries were lightly seasoned and really didn't need anything else added to it. The scrapple?? Well, having never had it OR spam, I can only say it was really good. The first taste in my mouth was of sausage. All in all, this place rocks. You have got to come here if you're in the Tampa/St. Pete area.
(5)Allen M.
Great food, good service. The kids loved the pancakes. My wife enjoyed the Burger and I thought the Eggs Benediction was excellent.
(5)Scott W.
Fantastic breakfast spot near St Pete Beach. My wife and I stopped for breakfast on Sunday around 10:00. The place was pretty busy but there are enough tables inside and out to accommodate quite a few folks. We were quickly seated and served. They are open from 7-2, everyday except Tuesday. My wife had the homemade corn beef hash and a couple of eggs. I had Phil's famous oatmeal, just because it said 'famous' and I wanted to see if it was really that special. Lisa's hash was great, a nice mix of corn beef and potatoes. I had an spinach, cheese, and mushroom omelets in addition to the oatmeal. The omelet was delicious and fluffy, nicely done. Phil's oatmeal was awesome! Fresh steel cut oats loaded with nuts, raisins, fresh strawberries, and brown sugar. I just had a cup, I would have eaten an entire bowl for sure. Pricing was reasonable, we paid around $10 per person. Great stop, would definitely recommend.

Just arrived first day of vacation have to start it out at our favorite breakfast place. Can't be this place cozy, friendly and excellent food !!!
(5)Jeff M.
Rating is for the BREAKFAST. Ate here on a Sunday morning, 2/24/13. Great location. Very local joint. Great views, even though it's road side. Obviously, a favorite breakfast place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Only giving 3 stars because my sunny side up eggs were sunny side raw. (This might be a Florida thing as I noticed this trend at another cafe.) The rest of the meal was spot on. The table next to us was having waffles. Try that and not sunny side up eggs!
(3)Christine K.
Absolutely love the place .... I just wish it was closer... We discovered the place in the desperate search for breakfast during our mini-vacation to Treasure Island. The spot is small, but very cute and homey. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. On top of it all, BIG portions and GREAT prices! I had Nina's Breakfast Special and it as absolutely perfect... first breakfast place that provided 5 slices of bacon! My boyfriend ordered the corn beef hash and it was homemade.... a huge portion and delicious! Definitely recommend!
(5)Liam M.
Nina's Café was a great stop for brunch. My wife had a huge salad, and I had the Biscuits and Gravy (from which I am still recovering) with bacon on the side. Sweet Tea was delicious, and the atmosphere in this tiny place was so cozy and inviting. Our server visited the table 4 times. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
(5)Tom M.
Good food and too much of it. Got a cheesesteak and my wife got a chicken cheesesteak. Both were very good. I could not finish my sandwich. The place is small and clean. Price is a little high and that is only reason for 4 stars.

We Came here for breakfast after flying in from Seattle , small and homey... Sort of like eating in a friend's kitchen. The air conditioning wasn't working so it was pretty warm. The food was good, fresh and tasted home cooked, not formulaic and processed. The potatoes were really good as was the Benedict. I love that they give you a huge mug of coffee. Husband was not happy they were out of O.J service was not the fastest but we were not in a hurry. Enjoyed our breakfast here.
(4)Alex W.
Yelp convinced. Great food, small space inside but a patio is available. They were also short staffed that day as well. The food was good and the service was great. Nice to see that these breakfast places still exist.
(4)Kyle T.
Never watched a place go downhill so fast, went from our favorite local spot to 2 hour waits for pre made biscuits and gravy. So much better places around, hell better service at Waffle House
(1)Ron R.
Cute, clean cafe/coffee shop. Very good breakfast.
(5)Comander C.
Such a pleasure to find a treasure like this especially on a holiday. Wonderful place to enjoy a tasty meal outside right near the water. Food was extremely tasty, there was a sense of urgency with the staff and it was all done with a smile on their faces. Will come back to see them again. Thanks Nina's
(5)Shelly M.
This is a 5 Star for me. I love Nina & Charlie and they make your visit very enjoyable. She always has a smile on her face and is so sweet to every person that walks thru the door, or onto the patio. The place is very tiny but so homey. The glasses & dishes are dishes you would drink/eat out of at home. The oatmeal is to die for! It comes in a pretty glass bowl layered with fruit, brown sugar, granola... pure sugary goodness! The breakfast sandwich on a croissant is yummy and everything is very fresh. You can bring your 4 legged friend with you if you sit outside... Try it, you'll love it!
(5)Renee H.
Food was delicious! Scrapple is fantastic. Banana pancakes are a must and large. Definitely will return.
(5)Nikolai S.
Great place with the best breakfast you can get in St Pete. Prices are so low that I had to ask to make sure they did not do a mistake. Just go there.
(5)Jan S.
Delicious banana pancake, yummy potatoes and very good coffee. Unfortunately, they do not have whipped cream for the pancakes ( I do not like the sweetness of maple syrup). Food and service are very good. I liked that the mugs of coffee are large, so you do not have to chase down the server for refills. Omelets were your average fare; tasty, well proportioned. Ample parking. Why not higher than a 3 star? I thought it looked a little beat in side, paint needs to be freshened or walls washed down. Place mats need laundering. Prices for waffles, pancakes are very very good. Omelets are priced higher than most competitors, but all food was fresh and well prepared.
(3)Will C.
I am picky about breakfast joints and I love Nina's. The homemade hash 9not out of a can) and the vegetable eggs Benedict are both awesome. The owner is always in the shop and the service is excellent. I cant say enough good things about the food here.
(5)Misty W.
We stopped here for breakfast before heading to the beach. It is apparently not open on Tuesdays (according to the huge sign inside that says "Never on Tuesdays"). The blueberry pancakes were delicious (much tastier than IHOP, which we had the day before) despite being a bit overcooked. Big, fat, juicy blueberries that tasted fresh (and didn't have the telltale green-blue bleed and mushy/ doughyness around them that suggests frozen) and the cakes had a hint of malty-ness. My bacon was thick, smoky and perfectly crispy. And (bonus!) everything was served with real butter-- I didn't have to ask for them to remove yucky, corn-tasting margarine from my sight. My daughter got a waffle and (after meticulously buttering each cavity) proceeded to hoover up the whole thing... she hardly even looked at her bacon, so consumed with waffle delirium was she. I got one tiny bite before she threatened to stab me with her fork and it was, indeed, very tasty. I thought the corned beef hash was tasty (though the large portion size needed at least 3 over medium eggs to get the optimum hash to egg proportion for proper yolky-moistening). Boyfriend was less enamored of the hash, so maybe it's a matter of personal taste? Service was good, as were prices. Not much of a view, but the decor was cute.
(3)Peridot ..
Wonderful food. Relaxing atmosphere. Great prices. We've been going to Nina's for 2 years now. It's the only game in town for fantastic breakfasts!
(5)Diane C.
This place is tiny on the inside with a large outside patio that is dog friendly. There are a couple of outside tables that overlook the inter-coastal, the other side of outside tables overlook gulf blvd. and can be loud. We had good coffee with tall ceramic cups, free refills. The rye toast was fabulous. Even the eggs somehow tasted fresher (I ordered them over-easy). The fruit bowl is fresh and a generous serving.
